TRAINING

Psyche Dell

Tuition

Psyche has worked as a BHS Qualified instructor for 19 years, initially training at Greenacres, and since 1992 working freelance, teaching a wide range of standards and abilities.
During this time, she has trained many competitive riders, specialising in the early training of the young horse for a career in showjumping. Much success has been acheived with riders and horses progressing within this discipline. Psyche has also trained students through BHS exams, and for competitions in all disciplines.
Showjumping training is her main interest, achieving much success with riders who lack confidence over fences, believing that in order to progress, horses and riders must be treated as individuals, and this extends to the day to day care of the horses within her yard.

Schooling

Psyche has backed and trained many horses of her own, and also for clients, achieveing much success with horses that she has produced. Mostly they have been brought on for showjumping, but with a strong emphasis on the importance of correct flatwork training, in order to be pleasant to ride, and obedient both in the ring and out! Currently, Psyche is competing her horses in Newcomers and Foxhunter showjumping competitions, but has also trained her horses to elementary level dressage. Many 'unrideable' horses have been retrained to become happy and useful animals by a patient schooling programme, alongside a suitable yard routine.
